Start with your reason for collecting. A card can be meaningful to preserve without being a high-value resale candidate.
Condition worth a closer look
Check both sides for corner whitening, edge wear, scratches, dents, and uneven borders. A card pulled straight from a pack is not guaranteed a high grade.
Cards you may sell
Compare recent sold examples of the same set, language, card number, and finish. Use the same grading company and grade when comparing graded examples, and account for grading and selling costs.
Grading describes condition. It does not guarantee a particular grade, selling price, or increase in value. Compare the costs with your reason for grading before submitting.
Before you send your cards

Accurate card information helps you review your submission and identify each card.
Set and card number
Use the printed card number and set information, not just the Pokémon’s name. Many Pokémon appear on multiple cards, and similar artwork can appear in different releases.
Language and finish
Record the card’s language and the correct holo, reverse-holo, or other variant. Include a promo or edition marking when present. Ask us if you are unsure which version you have.
Photos and packing
Photos are optional in the submission wizard. If you add them, show the full front and back clearly. Keep the physical card protected in a soft sleeve and suitable holder for shipping.

Before your first submission.
How much does Pokémon card grading cost?
Standard is $25 per card. Rush is $45 per card in total: $25 Standard grading plus a $20 Rush upgrade. Check the pricing page for current availability and optional prepaid packages, then review your submission before payment.
Do I have to buy grading credits first?
No. You can create a submission and pay its remaining balance in dollars. If you already have grading credits, one credit covers one Standard card grading. Rush upgrades are separate.
Can AI tell me what grade my Pokémon card will receive?
AI analysis can provide a preliminary look at visible condition in your photos. It cannot guarantee a final grade or authenticate a physical card. Your first AI analysis is free through your GSM account.
Can I send an unusual-size or already slabbed card?
Contact GSM before sending oversized cards, unusually thick cards, or cards sealed in another company’s holder. Confirm suitability and handling before creating or shipping that submission.
